It started with a bag of Pretzels

Sour cream and chive pretzels to be exact, washed down with a Halida beer at the start of our journey with Vietnam Airlines.

We’d read a lot of bad reviews about this airline but were pleasantly surprised. We had fish for lunch and beef noodles for breakfast – pretty good as far as aeroplane food goes!

<smile> Indeed, the worst airline food I have ever been served was on a Vietnam Airlines flight — the cold cuts were mottled grey and brown, with an oozy, oily coating which smelled of roadkill. That is the one bit of nastiness I have been unable to expel from my memory. The rest, thankfully, has been expunged.

I am very happy your experience was so much better. 😀

Oh that sounds terrible! Maybe we were lucky, or maybe we were just expecting it to be much worse from all the bad reviews!

<grin> Either way… you dodged an experiential bullet. Though… a negative experience like mine does provide excellent post material. 😉

Stay tuned for more of my exploits in BA and on to Antarctica and more. It’ll be a real adventure – and nice to make your acquaintance in the meantime!
