Whilst staying in Huacachina, an oasis in the middle of the Peruvian desert, we took a sunset tour of the dunes in buggies and had a go at sandboarding.
The buggies really arenโt for the faint hearted! It was like a roller coaster as the driver raced around at top speed up and over near vertical dunes. For the sandboarding we just lay on the boards on our stomachs and flew down, all great fun and an amazing way to see the sun setting over the beautiful desert landscape.

Oh man the memories are killing me. Sandboarding was one of my favorite things in Peru! If you’re doing the Gringo Trail, I expect I’ll be coming back here to read every post while you’re in Peru…
Ah man I did this too – good times! And the sun setting over the dunes is such a killer view.
